William Black and Cinema Kid had never appeared on the same title before but “You’re Not Alone” officially changes that. Premiered during Black’s opening appearance for Gryffin at The Brooklyn Mirage, the new Lowly.-backed single sees two sonic worlds collide between two longtime friends for an uplifting future-bass track.
“You’re Not Alone” is the definition of an upbeat, optimistic record and features just the right amount of bass to compliment the single’s inspiring, motivational lyrics. And while William Black and Cinema Kid have known each other for years, “You’re Not Alone” isn’t the first time they’ve come together to work on a track. Cinema Kid explained that further, stating,
“Honestly William Black and I have worked on so many collabs in the past that have never seen the light of day because we were waiting for something that felt really special. This one definitely is the best thing we’ve made together and I’m so happy we’re finally putting it out.”
“You’re Not Alone” comes on the heels of Black’s banner collaboration with Said The Sky and SayWeCanFly “On My Own,” which marked the first original release since his sophomore album Pieces came out just under a year ago. And for Cinema Kid, the release marks his biggest release to date after only making his debut at the top of 2022, which follows his official remix for William Black’s “Need You Now” and his freshman EP Moments Captured.
