Wehbba comes in strong with a sci-fi themed trio of tracks in his Premonition EP. The Brazilian kicks off 2023 after a stellar year in 2022. This EP follows the success of his excellent Dynamo EP on Drumcode in April and a contribution to A-Sides ‘The Next Step’. He even collaborated with Adam Beyer to remix the classic Planetary Assault Systems cut ‘In From The Night’. What’s more, he played Drumcode’s WHP, an Avant Gardner and Drumcode event in São Paolo to close out last year.

Now, his latest EP is atmospheric, rich, and out of this world. You’ll find yourself on an intergalactic trip through three delicious cuts. The title track ‘Premonition‘ is funky in all its synth work. Imagine traveling through space and time, propelled by sci-fi synths. Wehbba’s trademark full-bodied basslines drum as a cleverly placed sample from a David Bowie interview interject. ‘The Message’ is a dynamic beast driven by robotic synth stabs, a catchy melodic riff and a memorable vocal refrain sampled from ‘Mars Needs Women’, a 1950s sci-fi film. Lastly, ‘Inertia’ closes out the mix, led by a hypnotizing riff that you’ll need to hang onto your seats for. Enjoy the ride through hyperspace.

“I love to play this track after a series of rave bangers to keep the energy levels up while taking people on a trip.”
