Camera addicts in fabric, beware! The popular London club has imposed a lifetime ban on an attendee who publicly shared a video that is intruding in nature. The video contained a clip of another reveler dancing at the venue. It was only a matter of time before the venue reacted.

fabric is London’s home for underground music, always aiming to create a feeling of self-expression on the dance-floor. We are introducing a strict no photo, and no video policy at the club. Stay in the moment and put away your phone, enjoy the night… pic.twitter.com/Xpvof20jWD

Shared on twitter with the caption “yo I’ll never be going to fabric again after seeing this”, the clip showed another scantily dressed raver dancing candidly inside the venue. The venue reacted swiftly stating “Great, given this tweet, we’d prefer it if you didn’t come. Our club was built on the values of free expression and the freedom to dance and not be judged. We also have a No Photo Policy to protect our dancers’ privacy. Please do the right thing and remove this video”.

Yesterday we were made aware of a Tweet circulating featuring a video of a dancer at the club.

We have requested that due to the nature of the caption and the context in which it was taken, that the video be removed. The author has been given a lifetime ban.

The 23-year-old club commands immense respect in London and around. It has had the privilege to host almost every big name in the industry since its inception. Fabric avoided closure narrowly in 2016 owing to a “Save Fabric” campaign. The initiative raised the essential funds to assist with the legal expenses following the suspension of the venue’s license. This was the resultant reaction from the authorities to a couple of deaths arising out of drug-linked deaths.
